(And additionally, don't write anything Googlable that you would not want to see in a depression or red fit).

Sounds like Thirteen was finding purpose in work and love and she was intoxicated with it. And of course we eat like we drink (metaphorically and literally)! And she could not (yet) trust that purpose because it took her new places and deeper into old ones.

"And getting dumped online wasn't even the worst part, dearest Thirteen, because somewhere in your selfish, childish heart you find the wisdom to see that K is like you - selfish, childish, forever tripping over his own feet and making mistakes."

This is a new note. It's a background note.

As for not hugging when your friends are around ... it's one thing when the relationship is a sacred space. Another when it's a mining territory. (Durack sisters...)

I don't know if you remember from Kohlberg that we tend not to understand people's motives who are 2 stages ahead of us (allowing for gifts and individual differences).

How did Thirteen feel about ex-inmates in the years above?

As for Buying Your Way In... I'm proud of Thirteen's integrity, and I hope her contemporaries and elders have the same element.

Want to say something about this bit:

"You're not the easiest person to be around, dearest Thirteen, but there's something so pure and innocent about how you treat those you love and K totally, totally took advantage of that."

especially the "pure and innocent" part. And your astringency.

Nothing wrong with scoping out the talent or intimacy through any means.Adelaide Duponthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01490123934889071074noreply@blogger.com
